I have misplaced my UT class ring more times than I should admit to you. It’s bad. The main problem is that I don’t like to have it on when I wash my hands. So at least 10 times a day it isn’t on my finger. Where have I misplaced it you might ask? Here’s the running list: friend’s house, Gold’s Gym, my house (several times) and my most favorite … Prague (the city, not the club in Austin). Good thing is it some how always comes back to me. :) This time, I really thought I lost it not just misplaced it. I couldn’t remember the last time I even had it. Yet again though…it came back to me! I found it in my purse the day before my birthday (Happy Birthday Christine!) Of course I looked there one hundred times, but in my Mary Poppins bag I’m not surprised that I couldn’t find it. I’m so relieved! Hopefully this will be the LAST time I have one of these episodes.

When you start the morning with Michael Buble and “Georgia On My Mind” you know it’ll be a good day. {i know putting this song is ironic after putting my post up about Atlanta withdrawals … that was just a coincidence. I guess I really do need to make a trip out there}
1. It is physically impossible to touch all your teeth with your tongue.
2. All retards - :) - after reading this first fact will try it.
3. You will discover that the first fact … is a LIE.
4. You’re smiling now because you’re a retard. {haha, don’t worry, I was too}
5. You will soon tell some other retard about this.
6. There’s still a smile on your face, that’s because you’re retard.
Nice little way to start the morning {haha} .. thank you to my roommate’s mom for forwarding this to me this morning.
Had this on repeat today at work: Jimmy Needham. A little Jason Mraz/Jamie Cullum type of vibe.
In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, I’ve decided to share three things that I love/am currently obsessed with that are green related.
1. Asparagus!

I seriously love this stuff. Is it weird that I like a vegetable this much? I’ve decided that I want to sample and come up with the best asparagus recipe in this next year. So far I have tried the Pioneer Woman’s recipe (which is delicious!), next I’m trying a recipe that is asparagus toped with bread crumbs (yum!).
2. My iPod.

It’s green related because my iPod is actually green. I am a music lover. One of my most favorite gifts from Christmas this past year was my iTunes gift cards (i got $75 total!) Stay tuned for my next post on iPod downloads.
3. Whole Foods

You may have noticed from my blog posts that I like food. I love going out to eat, cooking (my recent new hobby), and trying to restaurants. Whole Foods is a heavenly place for people like me. This one kills two birds with one stone on the green front — the logo is green and they are all about “green” healthy living.” The fact that it originated in Austin, TX (where I currently reside) is a bonus! My favorite Whole Foods thing right now is to go and get gelato and sit on their rooftop that overlooks Austin. Lovely.
Hope you remembered to wear your green today. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I think this is the cutest housewarming gift idea! Unfortunately, I didn’t come up with it myself (i wish i was that creative). I stumbled upon it on The Pioneer Woman’s website under her home & garden section. Here’s the post: http://thepioneerwoman.com/homeandgarden/2009/07/housewarming-gift/. Anyways, i love it. It’s simple, thoughtful and perfect for a new home.

So I’ve come to realize that I’m definitely, maybe, possibly, weird about numbers. I don’t know if it’s really OCD or if it’s just a quirky thing about me. These are the normal (this is relative term here) times that my weirdness occurs …
- When I get gas: I always round the dollar amount that I spend up (this is from my dad, he does it too) — Ex: if the pump stops at $20.52 I have to round up to $20.55 or $21. Of course sometimes it doesn’t round up exactly so I have to keep rounding.
- When I’m at the gym: on the cardio machines I always have to round up again. If I have done my mile of running but the calories burned are at 134 I figure I’ll just stay on until 150 calories have been burned; if i finished the mile at 13 minutes and 45 seconds I decide that I’ll stay on until 15 minutes. Weird, I know.
- Slightly different, but I always have to clear the microwave if I walk by it and there are minutes/seconds left on the clock. (Still numbers related)
I know I’m not crazy or anything… I’m just saying … maybe it’s a little quirky.
I’ve been getting this question for the past couple of weeks from a lot of my friends (those that are teachers, in grad school, etc). My response: I don’t have a Spring Break. I work in the corporate world; we don’t get Spring Break. Stop rubbing in it (JK).
